Blue sky before the storm

The weather forecasters are having a field day today predicting 7 - 12 inches of snow for this weekend. They, local weather map pointers, now have us at a 'winter storm warning" level.

It is the last day of November and they, the weather people, have not had the opportunity to go to around the clock reporting that snow comes to Minnesota in the winter.

I am going out to fill the snowblower with gas and wait by the window for the deluge to begin.

The rear trunk lid of the 1941 DeSoto

In 1941 the DeSoto had a "locker Lid" on the DeSota Deluxe 7 - passenger sedon. We now call them trunks.
This medallion has seen 66 years of adorning this locker lid.
The blue is original, the whole car should have been painted with it.

"Ginger Rogers," claimed one DeSoto advertisement, "drives Hollywood's smartest car - DeSoto!" "I like action!" Ginger supposedly said. "I get it in my DeSoto."

Mobile Graffiti Grading System

So, where do they park the B, C, D, and F's?
What reaction do you think a D or F would draw? Would the D or F get better graffiti applied to them?

Solid Stone Strength

In 1938, at age 29, Michael Lantz won a commission for two monumental stone sculptures. Entitled ''Man Restraining Trade,'' each depicting a burly figure reining in a bucking horse, they still stand at the Federal Trade Commission building in Washington.
